Are you struggling? Don’t know who to turn to? It can be tough and quite worrying when your struggling and you feel like no one is there for you. There is always someone there for you and who will listen. I will be writing a few points and tips today!
Many people are there but we struggle to think of who to turn to. Some ideas to help you think of who could be helpful.
Family members? Not everyone has close family network around them so I understand that might not be the best option.
Close friend? One thing to remember is if you tell a friend, they may not keep it to themselves if you ask them too. Confidentially is key but not every friend will respect that so make sure you can trust that person not to go telling others. Although if you are the friend, tell the person that if it is something what is a risk to themselves or others that you will need to tell someone like a doctor or any other professional, because it’s important they are safe!
Telephone Support Numbers,
There are a lot of support numbers where you can ring for help. They are confidential and respect privacy. If they are concerned in terms of you being risk to yourself and others, then they will report it the appropriate agencies. You can Google for numbers as I am not going to put them here as readers may be from all over the world and the numbers may not be correct for them.
I was going to be a volunteer for a charity where you can get text support. I never carried out the training as circumstances changed and I could not follow through with it because of the hours etc.

How did all start? Where did everything start to go wrong? To be honest I do not know… I was around 9 years old and I was admitted to TIER 3 community mental health services. TIER 3 is based in the community. I was displaying extremely risky behaviours. When I was 10 I was on the roof of my house, I was just stood up there confused and scared of what was going on with me because at that age I had no clue why my mind was so exhausting and worrying to live with. I was taken to A&E and admitted to a open mental health hospital. I was discharged 2 weeks later as I was to difficult to manage. I used to physically violent, and self injurious. I was admitted a another 4 times to that open hospital and the 4th time I was there for about 1 day. In the morning I remember an ambulance team walking through the ward doors. They came in and told me I was being transferred to a secure mental health hospital. I was crying and panicking. I became confrontational and they restrained me and took me to the ambulance and I arrived threw the gates and was taken into the hospital. It was hell there.
I am going to leave that there for today. I don’t want to write the whole blog in one post. I want to say I have been doing so well the last 5 years and I never thought that would happen. Stay positive people because it will get better in time with the right support. – Adam Lee.

Where do I start? So many changes have happened in the last few months. So many emotions, so many goodbyes and so many new Hello’s and so many new faces! I can say I am enjoying my new chapter in my life. I am feeling good starting at college. Moving from a specialist school to a specialist college is a big step in my life. Things are done very differently. I am making friends and learning all sorts of new things. I am also thinking of learning British Sign Language as the college I am at has some deaf students and staff, and apart from that, it seems like a nice thing to learn and to be able to communicate in a different way, well a different language. Something to focus on. I am sad about all the people I have left behind. It’s a big thing when you get to know so many people and spend time in their company and then you leave to a totally new place. Change can always be scary, it doesn’t mean it is a bad thing. I was really nervous starting at college but I am glad I made it through the first week. The message I am trying to put across is, life is always on the move, always changing, big or small, nothing ever stays the same. Its how we feel about it is what is important. Always take time to think about what is best for you and make sure you within yourself as a person are happy. Need a chat?
